    Als je besluit je hosting te verhuizen, kan dat je website betreffen, je e-mail of beide. Als je e-mail bij dezelfde hosting zit als je website en bij je nieuwe hosting ook, dan is de nieuwe hosting soms bereid om die ook voor je te verhuizen. Als je dat niet zijn, of je e-mail is ergens anders gehost, dan moet je de bestaande e-mails zelf overzetten. Dat is gelukkig heel makkelijk met deze (gratis) tool. Deze gratis tool wordt aangeboden door Vimexx.nl hosting. (1) Zorg dat je bij de nieuwe hosting e-mailadressen aanmaakt met exact dezelfde adressen. (2) Zorg dat je dezelfde forwards, aliases, autoresponders, handtekeningen, etc. creëert bij je nieuwe hosting. (3) DNS omzetten naar nieuwe hosting (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC). (4) wacht tot de DNS actief is (duurt 1-48 uur). (5) Migreer de e-mails. Tip: controleer eerst of je nieuwe hosting een ‘e-mail import tool’ heeft. Dan heb je deze Imapsync service misschien niet nodig.

    Voordelen Pro versie

    Deze service heeft geen pro versie. Er bestaat wel een betaalde online dienst die hetzelfde doet. Dat is MailJerry: https://www.mailjerry.com. Deze service is gratis tot een emailbox van 250 MB, daarboven heb je een abonnement nodig om e-mails over te zetten.

    Conclusie

    Absolute aanrader. Ik maak hier regelmatig gebruik van.

    LiteSpeed is een plug-in die, vooral als je hosting LiteSpeed heeft geïntegreerd op hun servers, heel snel is. Het heeft echter hetzelfde nadeel als veel anderen cache plug-ins: soms maakt de plug-in er een rommeltje van. Persoonlijk heb ik voorkeur voor een pagebuilder en thema die van nature al zo snel zijn, dat je of zonder plug-in al een snelheidsscore haalt van tegen de 100%, of een eenvoudige HTML cache die er minder snel een rommeltje van maakt. Werk je echter met een builder als Elementor, Divi, of een andere builder die minder schone code levert, dan is LiteSpeed zeker een grote aanrader.

Bij 6000 abonnees betaal je bijvoorbeeld 80,- per maand, dat is bijna 1000 euro per jaar. De gratis Newsletter plug-in i.c.m. Brevo kost je (met dat soort aantallen) rond de 200,- per jaar. Desalniettemin; als je onder de 500 abonnees blijft, of het pittige premium tarief geen bezwaar vindt, is het zeker een aanrader. Er staat tenslotte ook gemak tegenover, want je hebt geen apart SMTP-account nodig; Mailpoet is alles ineen.

    Moosend vindt zichzelf de eenvoudigste en modernste oplossing om e-mail marketing- en automatisering te leveren. Moosend is ideaal voor het sturen van nieuwsbrieven en actieve e-mail marketing. We gebruiken Moosend momenteel niet zelf, maar het zou na Brevo meteen onze keuze zijn.

    Voordelen Pro versie

    Moosend biedt zowel vaste maandplannen, als een creditsysteem. Als je een klein bestand hebt, maar vaak stuurt, is een vast plan de beste optie. Heb je juist een groot bestand (meer dan 500 of 1000 adressen) en stuur je bijvoorbeeld elke maand een nieuwsbrief, dan is het creditsysteem verreweg het beste. 300.000 credits (bijna 6 jaar lang 5000 nieuwsbrieven per maand) kost je dan totaal 250,-

    Conclusie

    Moosend is een mooi email marketing en nieuwsbrief systeem. Juist doordat je als gebruiker de vrije keuze hebt tussen een vast maandplan of het creditsysteem is het een absolute aanrader.

    Perfmatters is en heel aparte plug-in. Eigenlijk voegt het niets toe… Het zorgt dat er vooral veel overbodige heel vertragende functies worden uitgezet, waar mogelijk. Veel van de opties van Perfmatters kunnen worden toegepast door ze simpelweg aan te zetten: Schakel emoji’s, embeds en dashicons uit, Postrevisies uitschakelen of beperken, Wijzig de interval voor automatisch opslaan, Heartbeat API uitschakelen en aanpassen, Reacties en URL’s uitschakelen, Google Maps uitschakelen op pagina’s zonder maps, WooCommerce winkelwagen fragmenten uitschakelen, WooCommerce widgets uitzetten op pagina’s waar deze niet gebruikt worden, diverse plug-ins alleen aanzetten op pagina’s waar deze nodig zijn. Het is geen cache plug-in, maar werkt wel uitstekend samen met alle bekende cache plug-ins.

    Voordelen Pro versie

    Perfmatters is een pro plug-in. Bij verlenging (automatisch) krijg je 15% korting. Ze kennen licenties voor 1 site, 3 sites, of unlimited. LET OP, perfmatters plug-in met korting: bij aanschaf krijg je met de code PERFMATTERS 10% korting! En deze code geeft je tijdelijk 15% korting: WOORKUP.

    Conclusie

    Een intelligente, eigenlijk onmisbare, plug-in. Perfmatters maakt je website een stuk sneller door te zorgen dat allerlei scripts en achtergrond processen alleen actief zijn op het moment en op de plek waar ze nodig zijn. AANRADER!

    Conclusie

    Een heel handige plug-in om de volgorde van posts aan te passen, onder andere i.v.m. het tonen van een query. Ook voor het bepalen van de volgorde van LearnDash courses en WooCommerce products werkt het perfect. Let op: WPASE heeft dezelfde functionaliteit, dus als je die al hebt aangeschaft is deze overbodig.
