Fusioo review – best database
Fusioo excels in the world of online databases. The ideal database should be just as simple as Google or Excel Spreadsheets, while retaining most of Filemaker options … Most people can work with a spreadsheet, but if one hears about relationships, portals, and scripts that sometimes contain hundreds, if not thousands of lines of code, they drop out. That is why we opt for Fusioo. There are other excellent database services, but only this online database made my heart make a leap of joy and made a database a nice and happy experience. That is the Fusioo database.
Market share
Fusioo is a decent player in the database market. Large enough to have several servers and a serious infrastructure, but not too large to provide real service. The help desk is really a help desk, and the technical team can solve all problems if they occur. The people of the Fusioo help desk really know what they are doing.
First impression Fusioo
My first impression was “that simple, that can never be something”. In the two months before, I had tested various online database tools and not even one met my wishes. I was almost shocked by the simplicity of the workflow of Fusioo; It was amazingly simple and effective. It lacked some basic functionality to be very honest, including sending e-mails under our name, via SMTP. That is really necessary today, to prevent most emails from ending up in the spam box. They have integrated this within a few weeks.
Developer
Fusioo Technology is the parent company of Fusioo. They have developed the Fusioo Database as a service for their (software) customers. This was so good that it has grown into their main product.

Functions of Fusioo database
- SMTP functionality in the standard subscription.
- Send standard e-mails: in all subscriptions.
- PDF creation for overviews, attachments, invoices etc.
- Indicate page ends for PDF creation.
- Workflows, including e-mail sending and sharing records.
- Relational database.
- The order of the fields that you create, as an admin, is what the users see (except when you change that with permissions).
- Permissions per user and fully adjustable.
- Simple formulas.
- All fields and outcomes of formulas are applicable in reports and e-mails.
- Possibility to add attachments, such as a PDF, to an e-mail (within the workflow).
- No need to create the user interface; It is useful as it is without extra work!
- calendar synchronization (full two-way synchronization or if you want only upload).
- Extremely low learning curve (easier than a spreadsheet).
- Shows full history of all users (2 weeks to a year, depending on the plan).
- Easily create and integrate online forms on every website.
- Can create user accounts for free (read-only).
- Incredible filter functions.
- Making relationships is straightforward.
- An extremely user-friendly and very intuitive user interface.
Fusioo support
The development team is a small, dedicated team. By dedicated, I mean that they are pure Fusioo focused; It is not a team that writes software for everyone. The founders are still the owners and active in the organization. Fine.
Positive
- A wonderful tool to keep track of your data.
- Affordable and flexible.
- Online: you can always go to your details.
Negative
- No disadvantages in terms of daily use.
- The only drawback could be that you really need an account per organization or company.
- The maxima in terms of number of apps and fields is spacious and can be expanded on request, but is not sufficient to accommodate several organizations on one account.
- The completest subscription (plan) with, for example, 2 full users, costs around € 400 annually. FileMaker would, in terms of hosting only, cost at least 500% of it.
Conclusion
Do you have a small or medium -sized company, with one to a few thousand employees? Then Fusioo is the perfect partner when setting up and running your database. The costs are okay, you can give certain people (such as the accountant!) Free “read-only” access, the database is fast, and the system has a low learning curve. Huge recommendation.
