    Conclusie

    If you work with an FSE theme (the future of WordPress) this is an absolute must-have. What the plug-in ‘If menu’ does for the classic themes does this plug-in (and more) for FSE Block themes. Note: Not yet tested with the Kadence Navigation (ADV) Block.

    This plug-in adds extra custom fields to the WooCommerce Block Check-out (checkout form). It is not yet possible to adjust the names of existing fields, or target the invoice or address fields, but that depends on the restrictions imposed by WooCommerce. You can add a paragraph, image, or separation sign (the standard WooCommerce blocks). However, the plug-in is expanding the number of available options (fields) for the checkout form. Adding a new field is integrated in the block search bar. With Checkout Fields for Blocks, the following new fields (field types) are possible for the form. Text input – E -mail – number – URL address – Select – Select – Text box. You can also choose where you want to display the new checkout fields in WooCommerce: order confirmation, admin order, my account, order e-mail.

    Conclusie

    A very handy plug-in. Admittedly, it is not a Kadence Shop Kit, but this developer is one of the first to develop a good plug-in for the block version of the WooCommerce check-out page, while Shop-Kit still works on a Classic theme only. This recent plug-in therefore requires a block FSE theme. Highly recommended!

    Font Squirrel - Font Generator
    Font Squirrel – Font Generator heeft een grote collectie (meestal gratis) fonts / lettertypes. Deze zijn wel bruimbaar voor grafisch werk (het zijn ttf bestanden) maar vaak niet geschikt voor omzetting naar webfonts. Wat Font Squirrel – Font Generator echter heel goed doet, is de functie waarin je een font upload (vaak een ttf ofwel truetype file) bijvoorbeeld van Google fonts, en daar weer een web font van maakt, dus een woff of woff2 bestand. Een woff bestand is veel kleiner dan een ttf bestand en maakt je website dus sneller. Een woff lettertype bestand is gemiddeld 60 tot 80% kleiner.

    Google fonts lettertypes
    Google biedt een geweldige font collectie. Deze zijn bruikbaar voor grafisch (druk)werk en voor het internet. Deze zijn gratis beschikbaar. Als je een webbuilder gebruikt die Google fonts heeft geïntegreerd, hoef je niets te doen om deze fonts te gebruiken. Je kunt de fonts (lettertypes) ook downloden, meestal als .ttf bestand en deze hosten op je eigen server. Dat komt privacy misschien ten goede, maar de bestandsgrootte niet. Werken met de standaard manier van Google (aanroepen op een pagina) is bijna altijd de snelste manier, ook omdat Google het lettertype elke keer aanpast aan de vraag van de browser, en ongebruikte variaties niet meestuurt.     Conclusie

    Het Greenshift FSE (Full Site Editing) thema is een van de beste thema’s die ik ooit gebruikt heb. De fratsen die bijna niemand gebruikt zijn verwijderd, het biedt volledig ondersteuning voor WooCommerce en is ongelooflijk snel. Het Greenshift FSE-thema is geschikt voor WooCommerce.

    Voordelen Pro versie

    Het thema biedt weliswaar professionele mogelijkheden, maar is geheel gratis.

    Conclusie

    Als je een FSE thema zoekt, is dit een absolute aanrader. Ik heb er tientallen getest, en Greenshift steekt er met kop en schouder bovenuit. Onze website wpnews.nl is geheel gebaseerd op het Greenshift FSE thema.

    Local Google Fonts
    Host de gebruikte Google lettertypen op de server en zorg dat de website voldoet aan de AVG. Ongeveer 50 miljoen websites maken gebruik van Google Fonts en in januari 2022 oordeelde een Duitse rechtbank dat het gebruik van Google Fonts een schending is van de Europese AVG (Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming). Daarnaast kost het tijd voor een browser om een lettertype te downloaden bij Google, en op de eigen server hosten kan je website een stuk sneller maken. Deze plug-in heeft meer dan 100.000 gebruikers.

    Dit is een gratis plug-in.

    Alles wat je nodig hebt om een e-learning systeem in een mum van tijd op te starten. Makkelijk te gebruiken open source LMS. Krachtig. Flexibel. Uitbreidbaar en kent een gratis versie. De plug-in is snel en eenvoudig te gebruiken en ze werken er hard aan om het de beste open source LMS te maken. Creëer, ontwikkel en schaal online cursussen met een eenvoudige drag-and-drop cursusbouwer. Alles binnen handbereik, om het proces van het maken van cursussen zo eenvoudig mogelijk te maken. Een codeloze en foutloze ervaring. Werkt goed in de Nederlandse taal. LET OP: ondersteund Gutenberg op dit moment alleen deels.

    Voordelen Pro versie

    De pro versie is heel compleet. Met compleet bedoel ik echt meer dan compleet. Proefcursussen, drip-content, live streaming, Google meet, je kunt het zo gek niet bedenken of het zit er in. De prijzen zijn heel redelijk. Pro voor 1 website is 89,- per jaar, 5 sites 229,- en ze hebben zelfs unlimited en lifetime licenties.

    Conclusie

    Tijden de test was het installeren een heel soepele ervaring. Het enige nadeel wat ik zo kon ontdekken, is dat het niet goed werkt met een FSE-thema. Omdat FSE-thema’s toch echt de toekomst zijn van WordPress, beschouw ik dat echt als een nadeel. Als je echter werkt met een klassiek thema, is dit geen nadeel. En op een dag zal ook Masterstudy LMS zeker compatibel worden met FSE (Full Site Editing) omdat ze niet echt keus hebben… Ik persoonlijk hou meer van een simpeler systeem, zoals Sensei LMS (hoe meer er kan, hoe meer er mis kan gaan…) maar ook Masterstudy LMS is zeker een aanrader.

    Ollie is een van de betere WordPress FSE block thema’s. Het thema heeft een meerdere stijlen en een grote collectie patronen. Lanceer verbluffende, responsieve websites met Ollie, de ultieme WordPress blok thema- en patroon bibliotheek voor webbuilders. Ollie is ook een heel snel thema; het laadt alleen de stijlen en assets die nodig zijn voor elke pagina. Standaard (zonder handmatige aanpassingen) is Ollie geen WooCommerce thema.

    Voordelen Pro versie

    De Pro versie heeft meerdere voordelen. De pro heeft meer patronen, bewaart deze in de cloud, en laadt alleen de patronen die je daadwerkelijk gebruikt. Figma import. Daarnaast heb je priority support.

    Conclusie

    Ollie, de gratis en de Pro versie, zijn beide uitstekende FSE thema’s. Aanrader.

    Deze plug-in voegt een eenvoudige post-type dropdown toe aan de post editor interface, waarmee je elke post kunt omzetten naar een nieuw post type. Hiermee kunt u het type van de post wijzigen terwijl je de post bewerkt. Ondersteunde typen: De plug-in kan vrijwel elke combinatie van berichten, pagina’s en zelfs aangepaste (custom) berichttypen converteren. Pagina naar post – Post naar pagina – Post naar custom – Custom naar post – Custom naar custom – Pagina naar WooCommerce product. Hiermee kun je bijvoorbeeld posts omzetten van WPCourseware naar LearnDash of LifterLMS, of welke combinatie dan ook. Hou er wel rekening mee dat de plug-ins die bij het type post horen, wel beide geïnstalleerd moeten zijn; dus als je omzet van WPCourseware naar LearnDash of omgedraaid, moeten beide actief zijn op je website. De plug-in is gemaakt door Triple J Software.

    Voordelen Pro versie

    Er is geen pro versie van. Een donatie wordt echter op prijs gesteld, voor het werk van de creatie en het onderhoud van deze nuttige plug-in.

    Conclusie

    Dit is een absolute aanrader. Het scheelt onvoorspelbaar veel tijd.
